Crafted by Sean Thackrey, the wine is made with a philosophy of revealing rather than taming the individuality of this extraordinary old-vine site.

Intensely aromatic and deeply coloured, it offers remarkable richness and depth, with layers of dark fruit, spice and savoury complexity unfolding across the palate. There is a compelling sense of place and history here, with the age of the vines lending concentration and character while allowing the wine to retain its own distinctive personality. Generous and full-bodied yet built for longevity, Orion can be enjoyed now for its expressive richness or cellared to allow its complexity to develop further.

A fascinating example of California’s old-vine heritage and Sean Thackrey’s individual approach to winemaking, this is a wine to savour alongside slow-roasted meats, game or mature cheeses.
