Bilancia’s Syrah is an exceptional expression of Hawke’s Bay and the personal vision of Warren Gibson, one of New Zealand’s most respected winemakers. Since the first Bilancia vintage in 1997, the estate has focused on crafting wines that highlight the distinctive character of Hawke’s Bay and its exceptional vineyard sites. Grown on a small hillside vineyard, this Syrah possesses remarkable intensity while retaining the elegance and freshness that define great examples of the variety.
The palate is rich and concentrated, with generous dark fruit framed by beautifully lifted floral aromas and classic peppery spice. Fine tannins and vibrant acidity provide balance and structure, allowing the wine’s depth and complexity to unfold with time.
