Description
Block M is one of the most high-stress areas for vines on the Melville estate. Direct exposure to the cold Pacific Ocean winds, intense sun, and unwelcoming soils all combine to create an unforgiving environment for the vines. This causes the clusters and the grapes themselves to be far smaller and more concentrated, producing a rich and full-bodied Pinot Noir. Expect notes of cassis, blackcurrant, muddled blackberry, and soft round tannins.
