Description
This rich and beautifully scented Pinot Noir is made from cuttings taken from some of Pommard’s finest vineyards. Stunningly silky, with fine, vibrant acidity and powerful fruit, it is a superb example of top-quality Oregon Pinot Noir.
Alexana was founded in 2005 by Dr. Madaiah Revana. His aim was to make great wine — but unlike his Napa estate, where the focus is on Cabernet Sauvignon, here he set out to produce cool-climate wines capable of rivaling the great Pinots of Burgundy. Alexana sits on a remarkable site in Oregon’s Dundee Hills AVA, where volcanic and marine sedimentary soils converge. Positioned on the back side of the hills, the vines receive long hours of gentle Oregon sunshine, tempered by unobstructed, cooling Pacific breezes.
The three-storey, gravity-flow winery provides the ideal environment for crafting high-quality wines that beautifully express the best Oregon has to offer.
