Description
The 2022 Ekam from Castell d’Encus is a distinctive expression of the high-altitude vineyards of Costers del Segre in Catalonia. Planted at elevations of up to 1,000 metres in the Pyrenees, the vineyards benefit from cool nights and a long growing season, giving the wine remarkable freshness and precision.
Made predominantly from Riesling, with a small proportion of Albariño, Ekam is an elegant and characterful white with a beautifully aromatic profile. The nose opens with notes of citrus, green apple and white flowers, alongside subtle mineral and herbal nuances.
On the palate, vibrant acidity provides energy and lift, while layers of crisp orchard and citrus fruit lead into a long, saline finish. The high-altitude origin is evident in the wine’s purity and tension, balancing freshness with impressive depth.
