The 2022 Sancerre Rosé from Pierre Morin is a beautifully refined expression of Pinot Noir from the limestone-rich vineyards around Bué in the Loire Valley. Pale and elegant in colour, it combines the delicacy of a rosé with the freshness and mineral character for which Sancerre is renowned.
The nose is wonderfully expressive, revealing aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and citrus alongside delicate floral notes and a subtle chalky minerality. On the palate, vibrant red fruit is balanced by lively acidity, giving the wine a fresh, precise and beautifully poised character.
A fine mineral thread runs through the palate, adding definition and length, while a gentle savoury edge brings further complexity. The finish is clean, refreshing and persistent, with lingering red berry and citrus notes.
